What Is EzClap?

Welcome to EzClap.

I built EzClap solo, so these docs are written to be clear, useful, and free from the usual corporate tech nonsense.

The simplest way to understand EzClap is this:

EzClap is a set-and-forget automation tool for turning Twitch clips into short-form content.

It helps Twitch streamers take clips created during live streams, process them, add captions, and publish them to platforms like TikTok and YouTube Shorts with very little manual work.

EzClap Is Not an AI Clip Finder

Let’s clear this up right away.

EzClap does not scan your full 8-hour VOD and magically find the best moments.

Instead, it works with the clips that are already created during your stream. That means the workflow stays simple, fast, and based on real clips you or your community actually made.

The only AI-based part of EzClap is caption generation. Everything else is built around being a practical creator tool, not an β€œAI content machine.”

How EzClap Works

EzClap checks your Twitch channel every 2 minutes for new clips.

When it finds one, it looks at your settings and checks whether the person who created the clip is allowed through your whitelist. If the clip matches your rules, EzClap pulls it into your workflow and prepares it for editing, cropping, captioning, and publishing.

Think of it like a content conveyor belt:

  • A clip gets created during your stream
  • EzClap detects it automatically
  • The clip gets processed using your saved settings
  • You review the captions
  • You add it to Spotlight
  • EzClap publishes it to your connected social platforms

Your Daily Workflow

One of the main goals of EzClap is to remove the repetitive work.

You do not need to open complicated editing software every day. In most cases, your job comes down to just two things:

1. Review the captions

EzClap generates captions automatically, but you should still give them a quick check. Most of the time they are solid, but names, slang, accents, and gamer tags can still confuse transcription.

2. Add the clip to Spotlight

Once the captions look good, add the clip to Spotlight.

That’s it.

After that, EzClap takes over again and handles the publishing side based on your setup.

A Hands-Free Workflow for Twitch Streamers

Once your socials are connected and your settings are in place, EzClap becomes a mostly hands-free content system.

For example, if you prepare 7 to 10 Spotlight clips, that can mean 7 to 10 Shorts, posted across multiple platforms, without needing to manually upload each one.

In practice, that means many streamers may only need to check EzClap once a week to line up their next batch of content.

And there is no need to stop there.

If you queue up 30 Spotlight clips, EzClap can keep your short-form content moving for weeks while you stay focused on streaming.

Why EzClap Exists

EzClap started as a tool I built for myself.

It began as a pile of Python scripts on my local machine and slowly turned into a proper workflow for streamers who want an easier way to turn live content into vertical videos.

So if you are looking for a tool that helps you:

  • turn Twitch clips into TikToks and YouTube Shorts
  • automate clip editing and publishing
  • reduce manual work
  • build a repeatable short-form workflow
  • stay consistent without living inside editing software

then that is exactly what EzClap is built for. Feel free to check getting started
